I had worked as a shipping/traffic manager for over 38 years at Hader Industries in New Berlin. Retired on my birthday in 2019.
My passion since I was 14 has been photography of music and auto racing. Had a photo studio right out of high school as I went to school at MATC in photography. Left school after a year and a half because I thought I knew everything!! Wrong and regretful move!!
I had worked for the Bugle American newspaper as the music photographer in high school and it really got me into music photography which continues to this day. Have worked with Summerfest and was a photographer there for many years. Just celebrated my 50th year of photographing music and Summerfest with a CBS58 spot with Pauleen Le on a Sunday morning recently! Then we did a live at Summerfest spot again on CBS58 early one morning.
Just photographed Alice Cooper on the Summerfest grounds at the BMO Harris Pavilion and they will be the blog 10-18-21 at www.richzimmermann.com. That is my website that I have run for years and do a blog every other week on music or racing photography going on in my life. I have a great archive there of music photography in the Rock category and Racing in the Racing category. Check it out plus I still do commercial work so retirement doesn't really seem to exist after being retired for 2 years!!
Hooked up with Bruce Rits Gilbert for his book "John Prine-One Song At A Time" recently! Haven't talked since high school but he found my John Prine photos on line in a search. We talked and the book has some of my photos in it and the cover! Small world in how we connected!! Great book by Bruce you should pick up by the way if you like John Prine.
Check out the link below for a look at the CBS58 interview I did! Screen one has the first interview segment. Second screen down has the second segment. Then on the bottom is the link to the interview Pauleen Le did here in Brookfield in my man cave for the CBS58 Morning Show.

Enjoy and be safe all!
Only attended WFB for 1 1/2 years as we moved from Wauwatosa. Really didn't socialize much as I was toooo into the music scene and the Bugle American newspaper. I was photographing music three nights a week during high school!!
Met some great people like Pam White, Bruce Gilbert, Steve Cohen, Mark Wilson, Robin Rood and more! Stone Cohen and Leroy Airmaster made high school fun!

Happy belated birthday old friend!! Been a few years since I was at your old big house on Lake Drive and messing around with Dan also!
Sad to hear about John. RIP my friend and prayers for your family.
We had some fun times long ago.
Very sad to hear we have lost another classmate. Especially to this terrible disease.
I remember some fun at school with her. Rest in peace and prayers to family.

Great photo!!!!!!!!!
Fun guy and very sad to hear this. We made some fun together!!
So sorry to hear. Remember her as being very nice.
So sad to see we lose another classmate and yet to COVID. I have now lost to many friends and musicians I have met from COVID. Starting with old buddy John Prine to Lisa now. Probably up to 15 friends. Just terrible so stay safe people!!
One race driver friend Jim Pace, 59 years old and was racing a week before he passed from COVID.
Soooooooo ready for 2021 and this vaccine!
Be well all and safe and have a Happy Holiday Season!
Love to all,
Rich Zimmermann
In moving to WFBay Robin was my first friend and a great study buddy that lived around the corner from us. Very sad to hear of her passing. When she worked at 1812 Overture I bought a lot of records from her and we both enjoyed a lot of music together.
