SAVE THE DATE FOR OUR 50TH HIGH SCHOOL REUNION!!

July 30, 2022!

EVENTS:

FRIDAY Evening, July 29, 2022: FREE LIVE MUSIC

Stone Cohen Band (classmates Steve Cohen, Bill Stone, Dave Kasik, and Marc Wilson (WFB Class of '71) will play at Linneman's Riverwest Inn, 1001 E Locust St, Milwaukee, WI 53212 . Festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m.

There is no charge for this event. Only cost is for what you choose to drink. Co-owner Jim Linneman is a WFB alum and has graciously allowed us to have the whole place for our pre-reunion event. There is no food service, but there is a Thai restaurant across the street. Checking to see if food can be brought in. Band will play in the venue's back room. Parking spots are at a premium. Recommendations from a few folks suggest using Uber or Lyft car services.

SATURDAY, July 30, 2022 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Gathering at Klode Park or at Cahill Square. DECISION ON WHICH PARK IS YET TO BE DETERMINED

Bring frisbees, cornhole sets, and some picnic foods. A guy at WFB City Hall says Cahill Square Warming House requires a minimal fee of $15/hour and a $75 key deposit. Can't reserve it yet as the village hasn't yet opened it due to Covid. Don't think I need to reserve Klode but will double check in about six months.

SATURDAY Evening, July 30, 2022 (MAIN EVENT)

University Club of Milwaukee, Country Club, 7401 N. 43rd St., Milwaukee, WI 53209

Reunion starts at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 11:30 p.m.

Classmate Bob Gegios is generously providing a DJ who will play music from our high school years throughout the night.

Buffet-style food service and a cash bar.

PER PERSON COST HAS NOT YET BEEN DETERMINED.

A reunion booklet, with deep thanks to Carol Schuh Thomas' efforts, will be available at the venue.

PLEASE COMPLETE YOUR STORY CONTRIBUTION AND EMAIL TO ME; DEADLINE IS NOV. 1, 2021.

SUNDAY BRUNCH SOMEWHERE: DETAILS STILL IN THE WORKS.

I am reaching out to a few hotels to try to reserve a block of rooms at a possibly discounted rate. Stay tuned!

Welcome to the website for the Whitefish Bay High School Class of 1972!!
We hope this reunion site will be helpful in renewing friendships and in communicating reunion information in years to come.

DIRECTIONS FOR THOSE NOT REGISTERED:

To get started, just click on your name under "Classmate Finder" and create your profile. This site is FREE and will be up and operational until May 2024!

* Please enter mailing and email addresses and phone numbers.

*You will also be able to add information and pictures to your profile page.

*Web site content submissions are encouraged and appreciated (photos, memories, etc).

Please complete the profile section even if you do not plan to attend the 50th reunion. We will use this site for many years to come!

Please reach out to any and all from our class who you are in touch with to let them know about this site  and the reunion. We have over 175 classmates signed up now and are looking for those who are 'missing.' If you know the whereabouts of the (approximately 75) 'missing,' please email me. Even if you know only a city or state that will help us immensely.

BIG CONGRATS TO BETSY BLANEY (TODAY'S NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO STAR)!

Betsy's great story on Buddy Holly was featured on this morning's NPR nationwide broadcast!

All of us can listen to Betsy's piece through the npr.org website. (https://www.npr.org/2019/02/03/690798999/buddy-hollys-classmates-remember-the-pioneer-60-years-after-the-day-the-music-di)

We are immensely proud of you, Betsy! BRAVO!!!

Bruce & Jay...hard to believe it was a year yesterday that we lost our gem of a friend, Shelley. I go to the phone, more times than I can count, to call and talk to her. Miss her terribly. I love you, Shell Bell. Forever close to my heart
