I remember how excited he was to swim against jimmy montgomery (olympic gold medalist), even though he knew what was going to happen.  I marveled at how he appreciated other people no matter what.  He sat next to me in Physics and he was hilarious.  We used to torture Tom Bromley daily and it never got old.  Ken was one of those rare people in high school that was comfortable with all of us, no matter our schtick.

A world of men like Ken Head would be quite an improvement.  I remember him at the reunions.  He always remembered a hell of a lot more than I could.  His passing will make me appreciate the connections right in front of me.

So sorry for your loss Betsy-

I too remember that Physics class and Ken's on-going banter with Mr Bromley.  We were talking about transverse vs longitudinal waves one day and Ken asked about the wave created by a wet dog shaking the water off.  That was Ken's wit and insight.  Always the thinker.

He will be missed!

Jerry

I have known Ken (Kenny) since Indian Guides and living down the street from the family on Elkhart I have many great memories of his powerful yet gentle presence. Having recently lost my sister in law to ALS my sympathies go out to Betsy and the extended family. I wish I had been closer to support his battle. Those who were lucky enough to have known him should all be thankful for the short time we had. He will be missed.
